# Connect ChatGPT

> Use VoiceAIWrapper inside ChatGPT.

## Connect from the ChatGPT app directory

**1. Find VoiceAIWrapper**

In ChatGPT, open the apps directory and search for **VoiceAIWrapper**.

**2. Connect**

Click **Connect**. ChatGPT opens VoiceAIWrapper in a new window.

**3. Sign in and allow**

Sign in to VoiceAIWrapper, choose the organization ChatGPT will work in, and click **Allow**. You are taken back to ChatGPT.

**4. Use it in a chat**

Start a new chat and ask, for example, "Create an inbound AI receptionist for my dental clinic." ChatGPT picks the right VoiceAIWrapper tool. You can also choose VoiceAIWrapper from the tools menu in the message box.

> [!NOTE]
>
> ChatGPT names may differ slightly between plans and app versions. If you can't find a setting, see OpenAI's help article on connecting apps in ChatGPT.

## Confirmations

ChatGPT asks you before it runs a tool that changes something. It always asks before [`update_agent`](/documentation/mcp/tools/agents#update_agent) and [`connect_phone_number`](/documentation/mcp/tools/phone-numbers), because those change a live agent or live call routing and can't be undone from the chat.

## Disconnect

You can disconnect from either side:

* **In VoiceAIWrapper:** open **Organization settings → Connected apps** and click **Disconnect** next to ChatGPT. Access stops straight away.
* **In ChatGPT:** remove or disconnect VoiceAIWrapper in **Settings → Apps & Connectors**.

Disconnecting deletes nothing. Your agents, widgets and numbers stay as they are.
